Viewing Device

Studio I, Fall 2016

Faculty: David Lewis

Team: Grace Jeong

Designed and built by my teammate and I, this device records the subjective measurement of a person’s view. The apparatus customizes to fit each user’s head size, shoulder height and specific positioning of the right eye on one’s face. The handles move a cursor and pencil in unison, which allows the user to “outline” objects and forms within a limited view of a given site. Fabrication included wood and metal working, cnc milling, and manual assembly.
